Mike Renner Commission: Part the Seventh

Felicia here kind of reminds me how I normally feel when I draw at work. I don't like working with an audience.

Seventh commission for Mike Renner. And lo, it's NOT a character sheet of some sort like the past six were, but a scene of sorts involving his upcoming "Fetch Quest" series. This specific one has Felicia Whitewind, you may remember her from the 6th, and Chizuru Yamamoto of Masguard, where this scene is taking place.

Funny thing. When I was drawing Chizuru, I accidentally drew her in the attire she wore in the ref pic given to me by Renner instead of what he wanted in the order. Stupid ME. Luckily I caught this in the sketching process before previewing to Renner and was able to save the day. It's a shame since the former came out rather decently, but as I told him, if I said nothing, no one would be able to tell, ha ha ha.

Masguard, as he told me, was a fortress town surrounded by a big wall. Now he'll kill me for this, but when I heard that big wall part, almost immediately the first thing that came to mind was the city of Ba Sing Se from Avatar. The blurring makes it hard to see, but it is there and better than it seeming closer than it should be, I think.

Interesting perspective, very good. But I must ask: what sort of job do you have that gives you enough idle time that you can draw something?
