My cat, Isis, is getting a swollen face again; I came home last night, and her right eye had a red tint to it, and her cheek was a little swollen. She let me check the cheek, and there's no cut to get infected, so that means one thing.

Her sinus is acting up again.

The last time this happened, the vet told me that a draining operation would cost about $150, whereas an operation to FIX her kitty sinus would go for around $400.

We did the draining thing, which meant tending to my poor traumatizedkitty multiple times, opening and reopening the wound the vet cut into the side of her face, and giving my cat some really weird, banana-smelling meds.

She's only just NOW getting around to forgiving myself and my roommates (though she still bites Chris from time to time), and we have to go through this mess again.

So... here's the thing. I'm going to open up Operation: My Cat's Operation, and try to raise enough funds (through commissions) to pay for the big honking sinus dealie. That's right, I have to raise $400 freakin' dollars. Fortunately, it's Canadian, so that should only take about... well, 10 full-colour commissions pages. Or another two comics.

Please, those of you who know me know I never ask for help; but this one's for Isis. And she's more important than my pride.
