Well, as most would probably know, i'm quite settled into my new apartment by now. And it's nice and all, a lot bigger than my room at the shelter (also considering the so few stuff i had to move). Heck, i'm even dealing with the 'wet carpet' smell, with the proper deodorants and incense. But there is only one continuing problem.
Mice!

Well, not mice, a single mouse. He is driving me crazy!

; I can hear him going through my stuff when i'm sitting down long enough doing something quietly. It's not so much that he's going through my stuff, it's that all my stuff.... okay, well, most of my stuff is still in garbage bags, and one of the most annoying sounds, to me, is the sound of a bag being ruffled... and every time he goes through something, i wanna throw something at him!
But the thing is, i've seen him face to face, and he is adorable! He's make an awesome pet (even though pets aren't allowed. And today when i woke up and he went into hiding, he squeaked! Soh kawaii! T_T
Ah dunno what to do...

Maybe it's lost. You can beter have mice than rats <<
creaturecorp Says:
This seriously reminds me of a movie called Mouse Hunt. They're after this pesky little mouse that eats and goes through everything, and finally when they get a chance to nab him, they think he's too adorable to kill.
Osprey Says:
hmmm. There are humaine ways of capturing the mouse. Cages, traps, etc. But the obvious common way is the trap: which may kill the vermin.
But is seems like you'd want to go with a cage trap. I know someone that uses peanut butter instead of cheese to catch 'em.
Fox Tail Says:
i Know that feeling...i had one in my room about 2 months ago...i didn't want to kill him, but i wanted him GONE.....he kept me up all night. so one day i threw a peice of chocolate onto a wicker basked and put paper on the inside. of corse he went for the food but once he got in, he can't climb out again....i put him out the next morning. try that and see if it helps^^
blade Says:
That sounds like something that happened to another friend of mine who also had a mouse problem...she kept the mice despite the dorm not allowing pets.

Meece!
err, Try getting one of those non-letahal traps, errr make sure you a cage that can hold it though, dont want is scaping :)
I have no experience in this myself, I just trying to rember advice given to someone in a simular situation, dont think being much help, but good luck :)
gargoyle Says:
well if you want to cath him, without killing him there is one thing you can do. Go to your local hardware and ask for live catching mouse trap. You better mention live catch or you will get one that kills. Then set it up and put peanut butter inside. I know it sounds funny, but trust me, mice love it. Then within 1 or 2 days you will have him in there. You can then either realse him in the park, woods, or keep him. That is how I have caught all I've ever had to deal with.
DemonicVampyress Says:
You can easily make a humane trap using the instructions here. After that, you'll want to go out a few miles(to insure the mouse doesn't come back) and release it in a nice field.
Baiting with peanut butter isn't a good idea since mice can actually choke on it. And certain other foods can kill them too. I can't find the list right now, but I'll keep looking in case you're interested. Personally, I'd recommend cookie/chip crumbs as bait.
Hope this helps.
CatgirlNinja Says:
Set a trap for him, one of those ones that doesn't harm mice, demonic's link for plans seem to be a good one, or you could even get a small cage leave it open and put some mouse food and bedding into it, the mouse might just move right on into it, seen people catch mice that way before. Also, I'd say keep him, but don't let your landlord find out x.o
I used to have pet mice, and yes I agree, they are sooooooooooo cute. ^^

That reminds me one time when me and my mum were up at at my uncle's cabin in NH. There was a baby mouse running around, and I named him Tucker =D
You should leave out Cheeze-Its =D They like that
