Mood

Hello, everyone! Long time no see. So, I think I may be coming near the end of my hiatus. While I haven't worked on drawings lately, I have felt motivated to work on some of my stories again, so there may be some writing in the next little while - if not, character design drawings to go with the writing you don't see!

I'm also going to be doing some cosmetic changes here and there: first being, headings on different sections of interests on my journal! So you can just find what's relevant to you.

Writing

In terms of stories, I've decided to put "Project: Saint and Sinner" on the backburner, for real this time. Because it was my baby for so long, I wanted to get that re-worked first. But, because I can't decide what to keep, what to cut, what to change, etc., it's been keeping me from doing ANY writing changes on anything. So, I'm going to put it from my mind for the moment and work on my other stories.

My primary concern is "Project: the Virtue." I absolutely love the underlying conflict of it, the past involved in it, etc. While I've reworked the main plot and..."logic" behind things, if you will, it has still been to support the past of the story rather than change it. It may turn out to be more than one story, as there's so much background detailing that would be lost in just one. I do also want to flesh out a lot more of the world, like giving each country/kingdom/race their own culture. I've thought about different languages and actually using them in-story, but we'll see how ambitious I am when we get to that hurdle!

After that, I do want to keep "Project: The Vessel" in mind - it's my oldest story out of all of these, but there are many many things that need to be thought out before I continue with it, I think, and I don't want to rush it. The only other two stories I've gotten started to move with are the two I started for NaNoWriMo 2010 and 2011, "Project: Generic Mage" and "Project: The Ruin".

Roleplaying

I'm still tinkering with the idea of starting a forum for roleplaying. It wouldn't be restricted to one particular story - it would be more for a collection of different people running their own, as well as trying out new things. There would be, maybe, a basic form for each GM to put at the beginning of their thread, outlining their own requirements (literacy level, style of play/post, etc) so it can be made clear for everyone browsing for a play.

I'd be happy to look at a free forum board service or, if we really needed later one, I'd look at intergrating a phpBB board with my web space (Hey, I've got it - why not use it?). The reason I'm not leaping to phpBB first is that I don't quite know everything about putting them up, and it's a lot of work and maintenance for something to start out so small.

I was looking at Yuku for forums, which used to be EZBoard, but it doesn't really have the feel I want. Anyone have any other suggestions?

Page-Shuffle

I'll be doing some shuffling of my gallery and getting some shiny graphics perhaps put up on my page to prepare for my writing/art, so please bear with me while things might be a little funny.
