Christmas is a week from today.

Spending most of my time and this month away from home has really made it hard for me to keep track, apparently. I got all my Christmas shopping done and all, but . . . eh, I guess? I was never huge on "spirit" and whatnot, but . . .

I'm spending the next few days at home, then going back to Tacoma to work, then hopefully coming back again for Christmas. I got roped into working Christmas Eve because I'm the newbie. =3= Everyone took that day off before I was even hired. I wouldn't mind if it were an early shift, so I could leave for home afterward, but it's 4-7. Too late to bother, especially right after work, and even if that weren't an issue, I'm not crazy about driving over foggy mountains in the middle of the night.

It's weird seeing the house being decorated (however sparsely) for Christmas, but I wasn't here for it. :T First year that I didn't get to go help for the tree, Dad's not going to be here at all for Christmas because he's in Afghanistan, I have to hope my store manager gave me my days off after Christmas to even come back . . .
