- I Think We're Alone Now by The Birthday Massacre
I'm in a new play. Well, it's not really a play, it's a musical. It's an off, off Broadway musical called Bat Boy. Look it up on Youtube if you want to find out what it is. Here's a summary though:
"Three siblings find a half boy/ half bat creature in cave in rural West Virginia. The local sheriff then brings Bat Boy to the home of the local veterinarian, Dr. Parker. Bat Boy is soon accepted in the Parker family and raised by Dr. Parkers wife, Shelley, and her daughter, Meredith. Things get more complicated when Meredith and Bat Boy fall in love and Shelley reveals that she is actually Bat Boys mother. Enraged, Dr. Parker leads the town folk in a murderous rampage against Bat Boy." found on [link]
I'm one of the three siblings that find Bat Boy in the beginning as well as Chorus/townsfolk and Young Meredith. Not very big roles, but what the heck I'm not so into musicals. I like doing plays better. The songs are really good though, you should listen to them. This weekend is opening and closing night. We have three performances (not too happy 'bout that one)and one of them is a matinee...
Lots has been going on in the way of high school, but that's high school for you.
I did finish the dress for Renaissance Fest. I've been told it's very pretty, which is good. I'll be going this weekend!!! I can't wait and I will get plenty of pictures to show my lovely work of art.
I've been getting good inspiration for drawing. I just turned in three of my favorite newest drawings (two of which are not on here (though I probably should have scanned them before giving them up) the other one is that Step Into Another World one) for a artist gallery for my school. Best of Show gets a giftcard to a local art store, which I want, cause I want to start painting again.
Just finished a really good Sci-fi trilogy called The Trade Pact Series by Julie E. Czerneda, the books are A Thousand Words for Stranger, Ties of Power, and Trade the Stars. I highly recomend them. They are very enjoyable books with great stories and good descriptions of the aliens the Czerneda created for the books. I want more of her books so badly...
Ah, yes, my final subject, Halloween. I just wore my Ren Fest costume and called myself Ophelia and carried around a 1917 copy of Hamlet with me. I figured I shouldn't spend too much money on Halloween because the Ren Fest dress was over $60 to make and that was was allowance, money left over from France and babysitting money. I got a lot of candy though!!!
Well, I believe that's enough rambling for now.
Au revoir
