Now what I produce, that's fucking art.

Personally, If this roleplay thing wasnt taking over the ""art"" element of this site, I wouldnt mind it if there were a few people going around actually knowing well who they were roleplaying as. Thats how it was 2 years ago, but nowadays almost everyone has one of these sock puppets, regardless of whether or not they are able to stay in-character.

I generally like just keeping my opinions to myself, but I suppose I'll say something in this case. Yup, this is going to be a long post but I couldn't think of a good way of making this any shorter or summarizing it in less than five sentances.

I think the reason why you're seeing so many of these accounts is because Sheezy doesn't really have something going on anymore. It doesn't have another Project Gauken: Battle Royal, a FvS, a Teagirl, or a King Of Sheezyart. A lot of the old veterans like Otakun and so on are gone. I think what they brought to Sheezyart was a sense of community. Since these are no longer here, Sheezy is stuck in this 'void' where the sense of community is lost. I think that with the people creating these accounts are trying to fill this 'void' and recreate something here irregardless if they are aware of what they are actually doing. While yes, there are a lot of accounts around as you so pointed out I think that it's almost a desperation for something to bring people together. Currently, roleplaying seems to be it weither we are for or against it.

I think that the art is part of the reason why people are here. But the other part is to meet and interact with other people with similar interests. You would think with a community that supposedly smaller than places such as Deviant Art that we would be closer together much like we were in the old days. But in truth, I think we are farther appart than we were ever before. I don't think Sheezy will ever return to what it was in the old days, but I do think that it needs to at least attempt to rebuild some of what it used to be. There seems to be a desperate call for that.
