I love to read. And those of you who are also readers out there, you've probably heard of the classic Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. Now, i've never read the book myself, and this seems to be a running trend in classics: No one has read them but everyone talks about them.
Well, after hearing about this one, i know what i'm going to read.
Apparently Seth Grahame-Smith got the title, "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" in his head one day and couldn't seem to shake it. So he wrote it. And, amazingly enough, from what i hear, it's not bad. The rights have been bought for a movie deal, even.
Well, i got a book giftcard for my birthday, and i know what i'm reading.
The sequel, 'Sense and Sensibility and Seamonsters,' (I swear i am not kidding) is out now.
For more information on the book, it's wikipedia entry is here:

I've seen that at Barnes and noble. They've done about 5 'classic' adaptations.
I'm not much for zombie genre anything, but my boyfriend loves anything to do with the undead.
I don't have much of an opinion of how they're altering classic literature, because I don't care for Jane Austin, but I think there will be some controversy eventually.
