Hmmm...YOU!
YES YOU! The people who still watch my ass. Hello.
Writing this cause I want to reflect back on all the things that has happened to me with Sheezy involved. It's currently 6:40 AM and I'm writing this. I guess I want to do it now than later...or I'll be preoccupied with Brutal Legend when it comes out.
------------------------------------------
Let's start with what is happening recently:
-Friends are getting married this weekend.
-Still working for Papa Johns. Making pizza.
-Training for Street Fighter 4, BlazBlue, and Rock Band 2 tourneys.
-Preparing for Infinite Bits. In case you don't know what Infinite Bits is, it's a video game convention being held down here in Miami. This is it's first year and I hope it hits off the ground. It's about time Miami gets a big fancy pants convention! For more info on Infinite Bits, go here:
http://infinitebitsconvention.com/
Apparently, the Nostalgia Critic is going to be there as well as

(both of them as guests), so that's awesome. It will be great to see Arin again. Also, if you're in the Miami area, come to Infinite Bits. I want it to become successful since a good amount of my friends are running the convention. Hopefully it gets off the ground.
-Working on stuff. Secret stuff. Just trying to kick myself in the ass to get it done.
-Recently went to Ohio and Kentucky to see

and

. It was great seeing them all again and we had an awesome time. Saw movies, ate alot of food, and walked...alot. Plus, I'll be seeing Kaku again in November when she will be coming down here for our 3 year anniversary.
-Bowser's Inside Story is an awesome game. Play it. Stay after the credits for a heart warming ending. Awwww...
-----------------------------------
Now that's out of the way, let's reflect back.
I never really understood alot of things when it came to the internet when I was 18. I don't go to chatrooms, I don't like forums all that much (even though I was forced to partake in one around that time by one of my best friends), and I just never really caught on. However, I guess you can say
Newgrounds was the first website that really introduced what an online community is to me...but I never really got the concept. I go to Newgrounds to see animations...that's it. It was back in 2001 (or 2002, one of those 2 years) that I wanted to get serious about animating. As a result, I submitted this piece of crap to Newgrounds in 2003:
http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/139757 <-Palm Bitch Episode 1
There was supposed to be an Episode 2, but that got scrapped entirely after I began to slowly detest myself for even coming up with the idea to make this thing. Then I was introduced to a website that taught me what an online community looks like in a very small scale. That would be
Oddlots Irregulars. The site is long dead, but I still remember some of the people I met on the site. They were the inspiration behind the Zombie Chronicles, a slideshow Flash comic I created using some of the sites characters in City of Heroes.
I'm not going to link you guys to that cause I hated doing that more than Palm Bitch. At least with Palm Bitch I put effort behind it. I cringe when I see both episodes. If you want to see it so bad, it's on my Newgrounds page:
http://ex35.newgrounds.com/
Though I was a member Oddlots, I'm also a member of
Deviantart. It was a combination of Newgrounds and Deviantart that introduced me to the website that...well...changed a bit of my life really.
Back in 2004, I saw something on Newgrounds that blew my freakin mind away at that time. It was animation that involved the Matrix. However, what made this animation special was that it was a collaboration between a handful of Flash artists. This animation, by the way, was The Matrix Still Has You:
http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/193439
I was curious on "How did these people pull it off? Do they know each other in real life? What is going on?" Note, I was still a DEE DEE DEE when it came to computers and the internet around the time. Anyways, I heard each of the artists had Deviantart accounts, so I began watching them and followed their work. That was until I read a journal from

about Deviantart not accepting Flash animations with copyrighted music in them. However, he found a website that was similar to DeviantArt that provided more features than Deviantart, porn was OK to submit (at the time), copyrighted music in Flashes was allowed, and it was all for FREE!
This website was
SheezyArt.
Man, I could name a ton of things that has happened on this website in the past. The so called 'Flash Wars', the drama, the laughs, the controversies, the furries, the server crashes, the hacks, the new beginnings for some of Newgrounds biggest animators, and the end of certain Flash giants. Some to never be heard from again.
Despite all the bad stuff that has happened on the site, alot of good came from it. Especially the people.
When I started here, I was a freakin nobody. Hell, to this day, I still kinda think I'm a nobody. However, when I first came on here, I kinda looked up to these 'artists' like Gods...which was freakin silly cause they're just human like you and me. Still, I was young and stupid, so what did I know.
Thus began the City of Heroes fanart series. You guys remembered that? That was just silly. It was inspired by what I did back on Oddlots Irregulars, where I made City of Heroes avatars for the users on the site. I just wanted to be seen. To be noticed.
And it worked. For such a stupid idea, it worked.
After that phase, I just didn't want to be known as 'the City of Heroes guy' (

called me that on her forums, which made me laugh), I wanted to show off my art and Flash skills. So, after some time, I submitted
Ex35's Christmas Present to Sheezy and it went uphill from there.
I met alot of great people here over the years. Whether through the website or places related to the website (the SheezyArt chatroom on DeviantArt, ccRO, and the radio show). Some are still here while some are gone.
Pretty much everyone on my friends list played a role in some way, shape, or form whether negative or positive in my life here on Sheezy.
If you don't know who you are, look at the list. I'll go into detail later, but let's move on.
Over the years, I did some stuff related to Sheezy in some way. I took part in 4 Flash collabs:
http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/214746 <-One Love
http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/249536 <-Little Less Conversation
http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/284973 <-19-2000 Collab
and the one I am most proud of:
http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/256082 <-Take On Me
Kinda funny that the entry I put for Take On Me was the most effort I have ever put in to Flash to date...on Newgrounds. Kinda sad really...to me that is...since I can do ALOT better. So, I did better.
It's on the front page of my Sheezy page.
The Bobbleninja Intro. The most effort I ever put into Flash...period. However, I know I can do better...if I have the time and patience.
Aside from Flash, I did the radio show here on Sheezy at one point.
EX35's Metal Thursdays was awesome to do. I have alot of fond memories about the radio show. It was something I looked forward to every Thursday. However, I then decided (after almost a year of doing the show) to end it due to other things in real life at the time. However, the memories of the radio show will live on. FThreat, Mar, and Skraggy have been doing good since my absence, so it's in good hands...even though the radio server has been down as of late (FIX IT CC! lol).
That's pretty much the big contributions I did related to Sheezy and even Newgrounds. However, I also came to Sheezy to make friends since I didn't have alot of friends to begin with. Over the years I met awesome people here that I still call friends. I even met some of them in real life:

and
Someday, this list will increase. Rest assure, it will.
Hell, if it wasn't for Sheezy (and

especially), I wouldn't have met the love of my life in

. Still in a happy and healthy relationship with her. Still going strong.
Though I haven't submitted anything art or Flash related in awhile, I'm still drawing. I made new friends here in Miami thanks in part to my friend Sam (He's a damn good artist. Check him out.
http://gtsaiyaman01.deviantart.com/).
Kinda funny that my friends end up being people who work for the video game industry. Call me lucky I guess.
Though I am happy with the new friends I made down here, I still miss you all. The original crew. The Sheezy crew.

Now, this is where I say my plans for the future.
You know what? Here's my honest answer.
I don't know.
I honestly don't know. The future to me at this point is freakin unpredictable. Who knows what will happen. I may win a million dollars, I may get an awesome job, I may get a Flash animation done, who knows.
Just know this. Whatever the future may hold for me, I feel it's something awesome. We'll see.
Anywho, I best be going, but know this. I'm still lurking around Sheezy even though I don't fav or comment much. I'm just in the shadows.
So, here's to another 5 years on Sheezy! Thank you everyone! I love you all!
Oh...and I am missing something. Something important that played a big part in my time here on Sheezy...
Hmmm...I can't put my finger on it...I know it's something important...oh well, it will come to me eventually.
I'll be around. Laters!
