I'll be blunt- I'm raising money for her birthday present. I'm getting her a Netbook (Like Elora, though blue) but I can't use the massive amount of money I have- that's for college. And as much as I would love to reason, She'd be brokenhearted if I used that money to do this. I lost my job and I don't have any other money. No one does.
Mom really deserves it. I mean,
1) She just lost her husband of 34 years. That's enough on it's own.
2) Her birthday is on Christmas, so it's often overshadowed, or *one gift satisfies all* sort of thing.
3) Since she doesn't have a computer, the people she SHOULD be with didn't bother to get in touch with her. I'm sorry, but that's fucked up.
I mostly do writing, and now I'm starting voice pimping (lol). Though, you can always PM me if you have something else in mind. I'm game.

Personally, I think it would be better getting her a desktop, b/c I don't really see her carrying a netbook around. Also, a similarly priced desktop will give her FAR more memory, speed and hard drive storage, and since she does a ton of billing online, a 1gb netbook wouldn't be powerful enough, at least from what I think. I'll def. help chip in for whatever though ^^
