(before I begin, I swear the time for sheezy has to be off or something. There is no way I made a journal on the 10th. That, or my memory hit a new low)
Anywho, I've had quite a time recently. Re-took an old summer job that will sustain my gamer addiction until fall yet again (although I get dick for hours. May quit while I'm somewhat behind). Also finally got my temps after too goddamn long. Driving is scary, man! It is NOT a good feeling to know you can kill yourself, your brothers, and a shit-ton of people if your focus isn't PERFEECT! Although I am getting the hang of it, and it is quite fun. FINALLY finished exams and school a couple weeks back, and have been lazing. Also, my computer crapped out for the umptenth time about a month back, so I decided to finally ditch Windows XP (partially because someone fucking broke my restore disk, which I can't get another of), and switch to Ubuntu (easiest iteration of Linux to use). I must say, for the problems it has (only brought by my crap computer running brand spanking new software and my own retarded-ness of all things linux), it is an incredible system. I've managed to get most of my old windows programs to work, and they fucking WORK. and I mean fast. Which isn't what I'm used to from a computer as old as mine. I swear, change really is good, gents
In other videogames-I'm-now-obsessed with news, I've got several to mention. With paychecks and moneyz, I can actually play games that weren't made years ago!
Street Fighter IV Is super sweet. From what I've seen in fighting games from the 90's in new consoles, they tend to change radically (case and point, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 compared to Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe. Yeah). However, Street Fighter hasn't changed one bit. Sweet graphics and killer new combos, all remaining in 2-d motion. and it's awesome. I'm a serious Street Fighter junkie, so this is my current crack (until Blockbuster makes me return it... Good thing I still have Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix and Street Fighter Alpha 2

)
For those of you who saw my earlier "work", You'd know I have a thing for Silent Hill. And hoo boy I've been Silent Hill-ing it up. First is Silent Hill Homecoming for the Xbox360. I'm making this short, since the story is too good to spoil. But I will say the gameplay is different. Instead of stiff Resident evil 1 style battles like in previous games, they radically change the battles to... something more battle-esque. It's really something else, and worth playing. For you Achievement whores, the achievements are really easy too, so it's easy gamerscore from an awesome game.
I'm getting a PSP soon, so I hope to try Silent Hill Origins!
Finally, Konami dropped news that made me ruin my pants: A remake of the first Silent Hill for the Wii! And unlike other Wii games, it won't suck! "Remake" is such a loose word in this context, more "re-imagining". You still play as good 'ol Harry Mason, looking for his daughter. but better, intense graphics aren't the only change. They changed up the battle system yet again: There IS no battle system. Konami took a more realistic approach to the game: being a middle-aged father nervously looking for his daughter in unfamiliar territory, he's gonna run the fuck away from the seemingly invincible monsters that chase him. So instead of battle, you have to flee from monsters, barricading yourself from them, hoping to god that the city will normal-fy, getting rid of the beasties. And here's the kicker that gets me so psyched for the game: They took a page from Left 4 Dead, and based the game on how you think. Konami decided to not base Silent Hill on the protagonist's mind, but instead YOUR mind. It starts with a psychological evaluation at the beginning of the game, but then the game WATCHES you. It sees your actions, reactions, and general way of playing the game, and changes it accordingly. Supposedly everything from Monsters, apperance of the city, events, even the clothes people wear are based on how you think. It's insane! Pants sufficiently soiled.
3D Realms shut down, so Duke Nukem Forever may be dead. A sad day for Duke. Let's hope Take-Two doesn't fuck up and decides to publish it!
My brother is currently fuming about the remake of Pokemon Gold and Silver for the DS, and I'm trying to wean him from it like a person tries to get an alcoholic out of the liquor aisle. Seriously, with every new Pokemon game, he freaks the fuck out. At times, my older brother joins in too (hell, when Diamond and Pearl came out, he bought 3 DS's just so we can battle each other. SERIOUSLY!). He actually made a comic about my disdain for this matter here:
http://www.sheezyart.com/art/view/2088921/
I actually helped write it, so I made sure there be Street Fighter references. Dan Hibiki FTW
Speaking of Older brothers with too much money freaking out, he actually bought another not-so-broken

OX 360 on a freaking whim. I don't know what he was smoking when he decided to make the purchase (the girl at the counter was supposedly cute, so that may have had a part in it

). So after some complaining from my part, we decided to get another of all the games we wanted to multiplay so we can system link. As I type this, my brothers are killing each other in Ace Combat: Skies of Liberation, shouting obscenities and taunts between the floors that separate them. And he complains on how he can't afford a car! =b
So things I've been working on: I've been drawing a ton, but haven't really had any way to get them on my computer (Ubuntu wackiness). I really want to try again on my Lupin the 3rd idea, but I'm still clean out of ideas on any sort of plot. Maybe I'll read up on unsolved thefts for ideas. Also, I'm helping a Newgrounds user called Biffthetimid on his cartoon "Outlaw 2". You can see the incredible first episode here:

Really, it's something else. Biff is a really talented animator, and outdid himself in this cartoon. I'm trying to do voices for him for Episode 2, but my computer still doesn't like my microphone, so I've yet to do anything for it.
And there is my long-assed post. You may now continue with your day

Holy fuck, this is a long journal. At first glance, all I see are video game references
Gotta disagree on remaking SH. First, it's on the Wii. That's just...wrong. Second, running? That's silly. If I were looking for my kid, I'd beat the shit out of anything that wasn't saying "I know where she is!" But the changing-based-on-you sounds pretty cool, I'll admit.
Also, I didn't like Homecoming. Maybe it's because I got a shit ending that made the WHOLE THING just not worth it. The story was pretty awesome though.

SO. Sup?
