This is the last you'll probably hear of me before tomorrow evening. Tomorrow morning, of course, is the Philadelphia Regional Tournament for the 2009 Pokémon Video Game Championship.
I've prepared my party for everything I could imagine, and some of which I could never have, but was lucky to see during practice rounds. It's 5 wins to a guaranteed spot at Nationals, 6 for second place, a meager 7 victories in a row for first place.
I could really do it. I know I have a great chance to at least PLACE. Top 4 is completely acceptable, I just want to go on to Nationals.
Just do me a favor... pray to whatever god you think is listening and ask him to give me the good LUCK to be one of the 128 out of who-knows-how-many picked to actually play. Something close to 300 showed up to the last two Regionals. That's less than half selected to get in...

Random selection is a pretty stupid way to pick contestants.
JackSand Says:
Rhemi's right.
You will like beat them all. Good luck.
What's your party like?
ChocolateNuke Says:

SAVE ME JEBUS!
Just take a rest and enjoy it. That's what really matters.Remember the fun and you'll do great.

Hmm, this is a bit of advice from a Magic player - so a bit different but at the same time -
Don't get cocky, take your opponents seriously, but relax and don't get stressed out.
If you don't, you'll likely slip up on something stupid, blow the entire thing, and end up regretting it all.
On that note though - it sounds like you've put alot of work into your team selection, so you at least have as much as a chance as anyone else who shows up.
Skraggy Says:
Don't underestimate ANY one
Preed Reve Says:
If you feel you are going to lose, just punch your opponent in the face, that's an insta-win!
You'll do great!
GreenDemon Says:
Good luck, I should really find out where they hold the regionals for the state of Ohio.
