You're seeing too much straight shapes in this. Basically you're inventing rules that are not even written. The rules don't say the shape has to be "1" sole object or character. It could be a guy sitting on a ball with a sombrero hat with a giant blade,... I dunno!

Last advice...

First try to resize the shape. Try to find a size that works best for you. Remember the bigger you resize the more details you can work with. Draw how you feel like.

Don't see Curves? Create curves easily by ignoring small bumps !!!!
