This song is awesome! A band that does chiptunes! It sounds really cool. Check out their songs on YouTube. Good stuff for you fans of 8-bit music with some added rock flair.
Anyways, these past 2 weeks sucked...weekday wise. Why? Well, I'm broke, need to pay off my insurance for my car by the end of the month, and I'm jobless!
Yea, I got screwed over at my job at Comcast, due to my driving record...which I freakin fixed! Now I have to look for another job...and at this point...I'll take anything. What ever makes enough money for me to survive.
The whole Comcast thing bummed me the hell out, however, when the weekends came these past 2 weeks...dear God...EPICNESS ENSUED!!!
2 weeks ago, the week after Kaku left, I went to Hollywood, Florida to spend 2 nights at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino...for free! Reason? Well, it was my friend, Pedro's birthday, and his girlfriend's mom has connections with the hotel and actually scored him a Hotel Suite on the 11th floor of the hotel...the hotel has 12 floors. We were right under the Presidential Suite, which was the most expensive room in the hotel. The room was freakin huge! For those days, Pedro, myself, and the rest of our friends did the following:
-Played alot of Street Fighter 4. I whooped ass!

-Went to a resturant called Jaxson's. Had an epic 1/2 pound homemade burger, homemade Cola (which tasted REALLY good! Better than Pepsi AND Coke combined!

!), garlic fries (which we took back to the hotel, to only be eaten the next day for breakfast. lol.), and something known as...
THE KITCHEN SINK!!!
It was epic! It was literally, a sink full of ice cream! The whole group chipped in for about 6 different kinds of flavors within the monstrosity! In the end, I came out the victor as the last person to finish the sink.

However, everyone stopped me from finishing the sink cause they were afraid I was going to get sick. So, we took what was left of it with us inside a special cooler container to keep it from melting. Pretty awesome.
Oh, on a side note, some of the ice cream fell on Pedro's head when it was being placed on the table. Happy Birthday! LOL!
-Went to see Watchmen. Freakin epic.
-Went back to the hotel room and I was hungry again! So, I ate FREE pizza before falling asleep...but not before kicking some more ass in Street Fighter 4! >

-The next day, we played some more SF4, then got ready to go to the pool.
-Pool, then jaccuzi (SOOOOO RELAXING!), then slide down a water slide to cool off, then dried off and slept on a beach chair for an hour under the night sky with a nice cool breeze. It was perfect.
-Went back upstairs to the hotel room to get ready for the birthday festivities! There was karaoke in the form of Rock Band 2 (only the microphone), a Watchmen squid cake (which was freakin epic looking), MORE FREE PIZZA, and alot of crazy shit. It was amazing.
-After partying hard, went to sleep, woke up the next day, packed my things, and said good bye to everyone as I went to my car and headed off home...only to see them the next day at Moe's. lol.
Now, while that was pretty damn cool...what happened this past weekend...Oh. My. God.
The past weekend was Niero's birthday party. It was also to celebrate the 3rd year of Destructoid.com.
Niero, for you guys that don't know, is the creator of this website and a good friend of mine. At this party...it was...well...
Let's say this. The party took place near Downtown Miami, in a huge building overlooking Biscayne Bay, within Destructoid's HQ...which is also Niero's home...which is a 3 story Penthouse!!!
That's the hallway leading up to the living room/office area.
The party was insane and I managed to hang out with alot of Destructoid's editors. I got to play Street Fighter 4 with Chad Concelmo and Rock Band 2 with Nick Chester.
Speaking of Rock Band 2, Niero actually told me to bring my Xbox 360 for the event. Reason? Well, I have ALOT more songs than him for Rock Band 2....a whole lot more. Chad was freakin blown away with the amount of songs I have available in Rock Band 2.
Also, I gave Niero and the editors a very special surprise within Rock Band. They were all floored when they saw it. If you want to see what I gave them, copy pasta the link below:
http://www.destructoid.com/blogs/EX35/destructoid-s-rock-stars-a-present-for-niero-and-the-rest-of-the-crew-happy-birthday--125116.phtml
I went through guitar hell making them this present...but it was worth it. It was so worth it.
Throughout the night, I basically hung out with my friends, the guys from Destructoid, and participated in some party activities...like jumping around like a mad man inside a bounce house...which was on Niero's patio on the 3rd floor! This man OWNS a bounce house! It was huge too!

!
Here are some photo's of the event:
(Note: I'm the one with the top hat.)
Nick Chester on Vocals, Chad Concelmo on Bass, me on Guitar.
Half of editors watching people play Rock Band.
Niero, sporting the new Dtoid helmet (made by the same guy who made that sweet Portal gun!), receiving a large birthday card.
THE CAKES! Those were good cakes too...mmmm...
Chad Concelmo and Jonathan Ross playing Street Fighter 4 on the 3rd story patio...can you believe that SF 4 was playing on a projector that was being displayed on the side of the freakin building?! It was epic. The entire city block could actually see us play Street Fighter. Pedro looks on with amusement. lol.
The next day, I helped clean up the place, then we were off to Miami Beach! However, that turned out to be a bad idea in the end, so we stuck around there for awhile and took pics.
Chad Concelmo, Adam Dork, myself, and Jonathan Ross. Chillin in Miami Beach as I give my cellphone to Niero...who was taking the picture. lol.
Then, after our somewhat anti-climatic finish in Miami Beach, we headed back to Niero's, said my good-byes to the Destructoid crew, and I headed off to my dad's place for an epic BBQ!
Then...after 2 days of no sleep...a freakin slept the entire day on Monday.
Overall, these past 2 weekends were freakin great. Got to meet cool people and experienced new things. I also explored new places. Also, I got to hang out with my friends and had a good time.
Also, destroying people in Street Fighter 4 is fun too.
Despite the whole job situation, at least I can look at things in a positive light. If I have to go back to retail or fast food, so be it, as long as I get some money. I really don't care anymore. What ever happens now...happens...I'm just glad that I have amazing people to support me when shit hits the fan.
On to the job search!
In the meantime, I'll take on all challengers in Street Fighter! It will be fun.

lol.
...hmmmm...after meeting the editors...I almost feel compelled to go to SGC in Dallas this summer...almost...that is...if I get the money.
Who knows. Things are up in the air. It's only a matter of time before one of those things begins to fall and take it's course.
Wonchop Says:
I'd be a bit disturbed if my kitchen sink looked like that in non-ice-cream circumstances.
Nayru Feld Says:
Hope you get a job soon. I've been looking for one as well and I'll take anything right now.

Good to see that you had an awesome ass time the past two weekends.
I saw something about The Kitchen Sink on an episode of Unwrapped before. It's fucking huge.
