You can't help but wonder how oblivious people can be sometimes.

So hunterbahamut was holding a fourth edition Dungeons and Dragons game at a comic book store in the nearby mall. I tagged along for the sake of playing. Being the goofball I am, AND by Baha's suggestion, I played Gino Weinberg, a human fighter. Amongst the three other people who we played with, two watched the dub Geass. One of them even saw my purse and it being covered with little Geass figures.

Funny thing was, it clicked with neither of them that I was a Geass fan that was playing a character named Gino. Who also happened to be the tallest member of the party. (Taller than two Tieflings and an Eladrin, lawl.)

It wasn't until near the end of the campaign that one of the guys noticed the portrait on Gino's character sheet while I was looking over his skills. Their reaction kind of went like this.

Guy A: You're playing that blonde from Geass!? The Knight of the Round!?
Guy B: *surprised reaction gasp!*
Mei: Yes, I am indeed Gino Weinberg.
Guy A: You're mean.

We played for like... two, two and a half hours, and it wasn't until near the final fifteen minutes of the game that they finally caught on. Because of his portrait, no less. I was amused.

I should've pointed out he's actually two years older and five inches shorter than his anime-self, but it was my turn and I had a Hobgoblin to Brute Strike, so I didn't bother with details. 83

I'm even more amused that Baha ran a similiar campaign two weeks ago (with me and Xerxes) and any misfortunes that had happened to Gino in the first one (Falling down a hole he didn't see, being poisoned by a trapped chest) happened to the Tiefling rogue.

One dysfunctional Tiefling rogue, one not-so-good Tiefling paladin, a strange Eladrin wizard, and Gino.

Gino is a class all of his own.

Snrrrrrrk.

well at least I know if I ever do get my D&D4e game board up and running that you'd be interesting in playing

And yes, people are goobers. I was a Vampire Fighter3/Sorcerer4 once in an old 3.0 game named Kain, and would shout Vae Victus after every critical hit, and no one I played with caught on until I had gained another level. 8 levels. People are sad
