Something to do with comments that have been deleted. I know people who've had that problem after i've deleted some comments or an artwork with comments on them.
I had the same problem except when I would go lets say to SA's homepage my updates would suddenly go down a few. Then when I clicked updates it went back up again. Did that back and forth. xD

had the same problem too, seems like they need to do a little bit more tweaking with their upgrade to the site.
