Well, thanks to your guys help, I have the tools necessary to get this bad boy rolling.
Now, I recently ordered "The Animator's Survival Kit". I should get the book next week in the mail. Also, I managed to download the 16 volume DVD set of the "Animator's Survival Kit: Animated". With the book and the DVDs at hand, I think I should be fine in the animating department.
As for body structures, I can use Posemaniacs to help me out, as well as real life. Drawing people randomly helps too. I also have, believe it or not, Rock Band. In Rock Band, when you make a character, just go into the rock shop in the tour mode...and just look. That helps me out alot.
As you guys may know, I'm working on something big and it's a collaborative effort between myself and my friends. When the time comes, I might require the aid of you guys.
The name of the project is Project: Shred. That's not the actual name of it, but that's what it's temporarily called. You'll see more of what this project is in the coming days. I've been sketching the living crap out of my sketch book and I'll be posting the first concept sketches of this project on Sheezy soon. Let's just say I have Rock Band to thank for the tremendous inspiration.
Speaking of Rock Band...I found this article on Destructoid...and...I want to share it with you guys...:
"While Harmonix CEO Alex Rigopulos has stated that the company has no plans to release a Rock Band 3 in 2009, that doesn't mean the music is going to stop. Sure, we expected the weekly downloadable content to continue to pour into the Rock Band Music Store. But there might be more music coming that we could have even imagined.
According to a Billboard article (via Yahoo! News), "MTV said it plans to increase the number of available song this year to as many as 5,000." Yes, that's five-thousand. Five zero zero zero. Currently, between retail discs (Rock Band, Rock Band 2, and the Wal-Mart-exclusive AC/DC disc), there are close to 600 playable for the game Harmonix have often referred to as a platform."
First off, I haven't heard from you in AGES. Good to know you are still alive.
I can't say how excited I am that you are getting back into the swing of things. And since I missed the boat, check out animationmentor.com. It's a site I swear by. Somewhere on there is a mini animation bible that give loads of useful tips, right downto when is an appropriate time to blink. Yeah, it's pretty godly. =D
NNnnn I can't wait! Good to hear from you once again. =DDDD
Jesus Murphy, 5,000 songs... I think Christmas came early.
