So...I got a bill in the mail yesterday for tuition fees for the ONE 3 credit hour class I was going to take this spring...."was" being the key word.

$573 (tuition and other small fees)

$173 per credit hour at the closest community college
$175 per credit hour at the UNIVERSITY of Colorado

F'that.

So I'm done trying to go to school right now. There's no way I'm paying that kind of money right now. No freakin way.

And before anyone says anything about financial aid...know that I can't get it due to academic suspension from a school I should have never gone to...I owe them money so they won't give me my transcripts...which I need for financial aid and full time enrollment.

So....I have decided I'm teaching myself everything that I need to know. I'm putting myself up on sites like Monster.com to be out there for jobs I might be able to do with my current skill...and until then I'm just going to increase that skill and keep adding things to my resume and portfolio.

Most art employers don't give a shxt about a degree anyway.
(Seriously no offense to those of you that are going to school for a degree in some form of art...I'd like to just for the hell of it...and in a way I envy you....just not for me right now)

I am bummed that I can't seem to get into school...well I CAN...I just refuse to pay that much for a community college. So perhaps this is just fate's way of telling me to try a different route...nothing wrong with it.

*sigh* I can do this.

In other news...:)

Christmas was nice and quiet this year. We did our small exchange at home, then visited Scott's mom for a bit, then came back home.

So far my loot has consisted of the following:

* A new Wacom. Intuos3 6x8 tablet =D
* The X-Files - Full boxed collectors edition (that includes the first movie)
* Concert Tickets to see Seabound and De/Vision
* Stephen Colbert's : I Am America (And So Can You) - hilarious
* $150 cash - putting it towards an Olympus Stylus 1040
* Nymph Nectar - Body & Massage Oil - it smells awesome
* Victoria Secret's Love Spell Body Mist and Perfume

Pretty good Xmas!

We've moved into the new house, we still have boxes and things but they're in the basement and we'll unpack things as we need them. Makes sense ya?

So...Overall life is still wonderful. Bummed that school just won't work out for me right now...but I'm happily motivated to take another route.
