Alright.

I just got home from watching Twilight. God, that was fun. I'm not saying the movie was great, but I had fun. I'll spare everyone the talk of how cheesy/sappy it was, because we all know how cheesy/sappy it was. The funny thing is that the dialogue was more unbelievable than the idea of vampires. Who'da guessed?

The theater was packed, as expected on a Friday night, crawling with fangirls. When the movie began, there was, of course, loud screams and cheers and pheromones. When some of the vampires showed up, there was some loud screams and cheers and pheromones. When Edward appeared, there were loud screams, cheers and pheromones. Lather, rinse, repeat.

I thought Edward was very, very pretty. His make-up didn't look that great though, what with his...stubble showing under his vampire powder. But you know what? That foster brother of his, Jasper, was a cutie! I decided I liked him more than Edward! He may have looked freaked and kinda constipated for most of his scenes, but he was so pretty. Dibs.

In other news, Daisuke Enomoto was unable to travel in space to dress up like Char Aznable, due to kidney-stones. He was unable to be refunded his $21 million. The funny part is that he really did want to dress up like Char Aznable. This is good, because now he can't join any sort of anti-earth union group.

I think I'm finally getting over my cold.

I agree. I would believe that vampires are real before I'd believe in that dialogue :) Cheese-tastic, and Jasper was about the most adorable character on the screen. I wish he'd gotten more face time. Carlisle's actor pulled it off for me, too.

I felt like it was almost too true to the book. I wanted to fast-forward through the first half of the movie

Yes, cheese-tastic, although there was a whole lot of mocking laughter and not so much with the pheromones at the theater I went to. (Much of it coming from the group of people I went to the movie with!)

See what you did?? You made me get an account just so I could leave a comment! Your evil knows no bounds...

I just needed to say... OMG YOU SAW *AND* READ TWILIGHT??? Bu-but... I thought you were, you know, one of the cool kids! Then again, I've read and seen all the Harry Potters, so I guess I'm not in a position to point and laugh. Or am I?

Now I kinda want to check Twilight out to see if it's really as bad/cheesey/fangirly as people say. The only things that are keeping me from doing it are money and the fact that I really hate vampires. There's just something about their suaveness that annoys the hell out of me... And you're right, the guy that plays Edward (who, sure enough, was HP's Cedric Diggory) is waaaay too pretty. And pale. And has only one facial expression, at least in the promotional pictures.

Well, back to being distracted and not doing any work!

Jasper was my my favorite looking one, too. What was sad about that movie was that all the side characters were more interesting than the 2 leads even though we barely got to see any of the other people in that film.
