Well I've been sick with the flu for over a week now. The flu sucks when you're diabetic AND asthmatic! I can't take time off really because I'm already WAY over my vacation time at work thanks to several severe illnesses in the last year.

I finished my alien hippy chick last night. I also worked on my image for Via Colori street painting festival over the weekend. I got it all gridded out and ready to go. Here lately most of my art time has been dedicated to getting merchandise up for sale on Zazzle. I'm addicted to designing skateboards and shoes now. LOL I had my Hell On Wheels skateboard get featured in the Today's Best section over there after it was published. That was cool and my second time getting featured there. The first time was for a Dryad Medallion shirt.

I got my copies of Iron Man and Incredible Hulk. Woot! I'm quite happy to have those. I'm looking forward to snagging Hellboy 2 next.

I've been watching the trailers for this new Twilight movie. It looks like a cheesy "I was a teenage vampire" kind of flick, which doesn't really interest me. I hear a lot of people hyping the books and I'd thought about checking them out, but if that's the flavor of them, I think I'll pass. I prefer my vampire literature more along the lines of Anne Rice or the Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter series (at least the first few books before she turned it into nothing but supernatural smut; you know, back when Anita was still working to solve crimes instead of just getting laid all the time?).

I've pretty much given up on the Anita Blake novels at this point. I've started reading Kim Harrison's witch books instead. I've also picked up Wizard's First rule by Terry Goodkind recently. I've been meaning to read this series for a while and my interest got sparked by the Legend of the Seeker show which is based on it.

Anyway, I need to get ready for work, so enough random rambling!

WhiteFoxDK Says:

Stick with Anne Rice; Twilight is even more dramatic, teenagey, and excessive than the original Romeo and Juliet story it was based off of. Total UGH!!

Hope you feel better. Are things still bad down there from the storms?
