i just saw a comercial for sonic unleashed....he turns into a FREAKIN WEREWOLF?!?! ARE YOU F***ING SERIOUS?

what the hell has happened to sega, plz tell me.

In my opinion, Sega's currently in a "let's see how many different themes we can mix into Sonic games to get people's attention" phase. Consider the three most recent games (aside from Dark Brotherhood, which wasn't really Sega's work anyway): Secret of the Rings drops our blue blur into an Arabian fantasy realm, Unleashed is going with the whole pseudo-horror angle thing, and the upcoming Black Knight game is going to have him wearing a gauntlet and swinging around Excalibur.

It's as though Sega's saying "Sonic's not good enough to be his own theme anymore, so let's blatantly copy off a whole slew of other overused ideas". Sad, isn't it?
