1. Okay, one thing you must not do when you animate,

Use Swishmax

It sucks, and It stands no chance to flash, and flash is much easier.

2. Please get the good sounds

Nobody likes ear rape, or the same sound spamming their speakers. I hope you all know what ear rape is.

3. Quality, quality, quality.

Quality in animation.
Quality in Sounds.
Quality in picture detail.

4. If you use sprites,

You better be a damn good sprite animator is you want to use 8 bit,

Overall I strongly suggest you don't use 16 bit, It's half on half off, and it looks like eye, rape thingy.

32 bit is by far the best, because it's for the lazy spriters, most of 32 sprites move in every shape possible, as 8 bit sprites are drasticly limited, forcing custom sprites to be made, 32 bit has nice color. and it's commonly more popular.

5. If you use sprites again.

Originality please, people are getting sick of Mario & Sonic crossovers, super mario bros Z is the only acception, seeing as he can animate, but all you N00B animators out there, lets look for Megaman, Bass, Alex Kidd, maybe some more kirby and zelda, or even fan characters, please not like some dumb serious where fan characters meet sonic.

6. Using a Tablet?

Try to avoid the pencil tool.
It becomes jolty, twitchy, and when you want to use the fill bucket it never works.

stick with paint brush, it's safe, looks neat, and it's pretty fun to use.

7. Animating, sprites or tablet,

the smoother it is the more interesting it is, the more interesting it is, the more fans you've got sneaking into your room. in long, when the animation is smoother, it tends to give an artistic style to how you have smoothed it out.
Trust me, from what I know, it looks pretty good to see time taken slowly with effort on the more difficult scenes.
