The Genius tablet is the better one of the two C:

Don't get a bamboo. They have something like 3 levels of pressure. They're designed for executives who want to look smart and scribble notes on the screen during a meeting, or for a teacher to draw simple diagrams whilst giving a lecture. The Genius on the other hand has 1024 levels of pressure - in other words, this means that the genius will allow you to draw like a real pen; line thickness will vary depending on pressure. The Bamboo won't do that.

If you want my advice, though, get neither. Get a Wacom Intuos. You can pick up a 6x8 from ebay for around 200 USD if you're smart. It'll live for years and years, and if you get a few commissions, it'll pay for itself. If you have trouble securing an Intuos, even a Graphire from Wacom is better than a PenSketch from Genius.

It's a wellknown fact that the only tablets worthwhile are made by wacom - I know this first hand due to working in the multimedia industry. The other tablets might be cheaper, but they'll only last a fraction of the time, and will be nowhere near as easy to use. Wacom tablets may be expensive, but there's a reason that Wacom is still the most popular brand - Wacom tablets are superior in both performance and value for money.
