01.What is your pen name?
FyreNWater

02. What made you choose this name?
Fire and water. Opposites, balance, conflicting, yet harmonious. That sorta thing.

03. Do you use PC or Mac?
PC. Macs hate me. There hasn't been a single time that I used one for art and it didn't crash.

04. What programs do you use most often?
GIMP

05. Do you use mouse, or tablet?
Third party tablet, britches!

06. What color or color combinations do you find yourself using most often?
Black & white or greys, 'cause I'm too lazy to color!

07. What part of a picture do you put most effort into?
The part that I feel like putting the most effott into.

08. How long does it take you do draw a picture?
Anywhere from a few minutes to several weeks. It depends on the detail and what size it is.

09. Do you keep your rough drafts?
Paper ones, yes. Digital ones get worked over, but the sketch layer is often saved.

10. What font do you use most often?
Tahoma or Impact. I'm boring like that.

11. When you scan your image, what DPI do you use?
I don't scan things. My ghetto scanner consists of a flat surface, good lighting, a camera, and some white tissue paper to disperse the flash.

12. Do you do anything else when you're drawing?
Everything that I do when I'm -not- drawing. Well, except sleep. That would be kinda hard.

13. Approximately how many pictures do you draw in a month?
It varies. I draw rather sporadically.

14. What kind of paper do you draw your pictures on?
Sketchbook paper, backs of assignments, binder paper... Whatever I've got at the time. For the good stuff, I use bristol board or cold pressed heavy weight paper, low tooth.

15. What kind of paper do you use for rough sketches and drafts?
See above.

16. How long does it take you to ink something?
Depends on the size and complexity.

17. Do you do comics, or fan comics?.
I have my own comic, Jammin' With Jaylen.

18. Do you like comics? Are they fun to make?
Yup. Yup.

19. Have you ever submitted anything to a magazine?
To my high school art mag.

20. Did it get published?
It was supposed to, but funds ran out. D:

21. Who are your favorite artists?
I don't really have a favorite, but I have a bunch that I really like.

22. Do you like anime/manga? If so, what are your favorite series?
No. As a whole, I avoid anime and manga like the plague.

23. Do you like cartoons/comics? If so, what are your favorite series?
I don't really like cartoons nowadays. All the good stuff was from the 80's and 90's.

24. Any artists that you wish you could draw like?
A bunch.

25. Do you read a lot of books?
Not a lot, but I do read quite a bit.

26. Did you ever buy a book to inspire or teach you to draw?
Back in the day, I would buy art books. Now I'm smarter and borrow them or get tutorials online. Saves money!

27. Any video games you enjoy?
Too many to list.

28. Any favorite characters from video games?
Also too many to list.

29. Do you have a favorite writer?
I don't really have a favorite.

30. Any books you really enjoy?

31. Do you draw fanart?
Every now and then, yes.

32. Do you listen to music while you draw?
I listen to music all the time.

Whatever drives you.

34. Any other art websites that you really enjoy?
I like DA better now, actually.

35. Are there any websites that you go to everyday?
Plenty.

36. What is your dream website like?
It can never exist. The internet will ruin it.

37. Do you like your own art?
Usually, but as you know, "You are your own greatest critic."

38. What do you enjoy watching on television?
Discovery Channel. Although it's getting too "OMGsplosion!!" and the science and discovery is dying out. :<

39. Favorite celebrity?
The MythBusters, of course.

Stuff.

Water, no ice, thanks.

I don't really like shopping. My favorite shopping involves sitting at a computer and bid-sniping.

Yup.

45. Any devices you use often for email? Any electronic pets?
...How does e-mail and electronic pets relate now?

46. Are you tech-savvy?
Yup.

47. Do you want to become a professional artist?
No, that's a tough (and poor) life. I'm aiming to become an art instructor.

48. Are there any other jobs you're interested in?
Working for Google or Pixar would be awesome, but it's not something I'd try for.

49. Any other hobbies or skills besides drawing?
I also paint, sculpt, and sew stuff. 'Sides art, VIDYA GAEMS, school stuffs, INTARNETS, and... stuff.

50. Do you like to watch movies?
Only the good ones.

51. What's your favorite movie?
Right now, Hot Fuzz.

52. Have you ever entered an art contest?
Yup. I would place anywhere from 1st, to 2nd, to "go home, we don't like your stuff".

53. When did you start drawing seriously?
Oh, I don't do anything seriously. I'm only serious if I HAVE to be.

54. Do you use references? If so, for what?
I use refs whenever I can. Anatomy and details can be a pain to remember, and you should NEVER force yourself to memorize these things!

55. Are you a subscriber? If so, are you a beta-tester?
Oh, I guess this was made for deviantART. No and no.

56. Do you have a lot of net friends?
Sure.

57. Do you have a lot of friends that also draw?
Not a lot, but a couple.

58. What time of the day do you usually go online?
Whenever the funk I can.

59. Do you like to go to chat rooms?
Dear God, NO. It's like watching a plane crash. Into a orphanage. Of blind kids.

60. Do you have your own computer?
I HAS A LAPTOP. :3

61. What would you say to the person that you admire?

63. Have you drawn poorly because you think too much?
I draw poorly because I suck that day.

64. Do you have any friends who are professional artists?
Nope.

65. Where do you often hang out?
Wherever I feel like.

66. Are there any popular artists that you don't like much?
The ones that are egocentric and refuse to acknowledge their faults. Basically, the ones that suck and are still somehow popular. *cough* TIM B^UCKLEY *cough*

67. Are there any situations in which you really don't like being an artist?
When people think I'm some loopy weirdo artist, or they want me to draw them random crap that anyone can do, or they think my future career will be useless.

68. How about situations that make you love it?
When I make awesome stuff and people admire it.

69. What's the one thing that makes you grateful that the internet exists?
Instantaneous interaction, limitless information, and the ability to buy stuff.

70. Is there anything out there that makes you wish the internet didn't exist?
The people.

71. What's your first drawing?
Probably some scribble I made on the wall with my crayons.

72. Any art you did prior to that?
Do baby food smears on the table count?

74. If it has changed, in what ways?
I don't draw on walls anymore, but sometimes I still get food all over my clothes. It happens.

75. Have you experienced artist's block before?
All too often.

76. If so, how do you usually get out of it?
I switch up and write. Or play video games. More often the latter. <__<

77. What do you do when you can't get out of it?
Force myself to draw, even if it's junk. Then ideas randomly come.

78. Any people that have influenced you a lot?
All the good stuff I come across.

79. What made you want to start drawing?
Seeing stuff in the world and seeing crayons and paper.

81. Has anything ever made you want to quit art all together?
Nope.

82. What do you think about netiquette?
It doesn't exist, silly.

83. Have you ever been spammed or trolled?
All too often. To the point that I've had to leave a few websites entirely, actually.

86. Do you upload high quality versions of your Art, or do you prefer to upload a lower quality?
Putting up high quality versions is just asking people to steal it. Low-res and watermarked. That's how I roll.

87. Do you have custom CSS? If so, did you make it yourself?
Nope.

88. Do you have good vision?
I'm pretty much legally blind.

89. If you can get anyone's autograph, whose would you get?
Dunno.

90. What would you say to that person when he or she gives you an autograph?
YOU ARE AWESOME!

91. Do you like to draw on Oekaki BBS?
Nope.

92. Do you have a job?
Two, actually. I'm a tutor and... a tutor. Haha. One job is with kids, the other is with college students.

93. Did you take art in school? If so, did you do well? Are you still taking it?
Yes, yes, and yes.

94. Have you taken art lessons outside of a school setting?
A few free classes at the community center. Nothing major, but one helped guide me into liking making comics.

95. Have you ever drawn something just because it was the cool thing to do -- the hip new fad?
Pssh, no. I draw what I feel like, not because someone says it's cool.

96. What's your favorite phrase/quote?
"YOUR FACE!" Best used to return non-sensical things like:
A: "You're late."
B: "YOUR FACE is late!"
A: "...what?"

97. Do you present yourself differently online than you do in your real life?
Not too differently, no.

98. What's your goal now?
Immediate goal: eat lunch. Later goal: school work. Ultimate goal: YOUR FACE.

99. What do you have to say to yourself?
"YOUR FA-" No. No. That's too silly. How about something like, "Keep on truckin'"?
