Currently, I have re-found my love for the Native American peoples. I do not know what it is that bonds me to the people, besides the fact I look up to their teachings and way of life. On that note, I have began to research further into their history.
Upon, this long journey I have begun to feel rather ashamed of what we call America of today. I hold no hate for the country in itself but rather how it is run. In fact I begin to fear that most of what we are taught is fantasized. The initial thoughts of being one mind, citizen and 'ruler' seems to never happen. Think about how it all started, only those who were counted 'property' wise any white man who could afford to pay taxes basically. The lesser white-men (too poor to pay taxes), women, african-considered slaves at the time, and indians the 'enemy' were not allowed to vote. Yet, we were one?
These wise words came from a very respectable man, who walked all life paths. An Native American who lived both in his world and the 'white' world. He grew up in both reservations and the outside. Also, a vietnam veteran. John Trudell.
After watching his videos it makes clear sense of what the reality of America is. In fact the whole world is run this way these days. It's all based off of greed, malice, power, and as John Trudell says "Protect your spirit, because in this world spirits die". This brings me to a rather intelligent conversation I and a good friend had... today's God is "Power".....but as you will see in the videos history of Democracy is always run this way. One religon, One ruler, and slavery, and the oppression of everyone else.
My main purpose of posting this was to enlighten and share this wonderful man with you. I believe, the only people who truly know peace and how to live were the Natives and various Asian cultures. They all speak of one cycle, one people, and all the teachers of the world are one. All one message, treat your neighbor as your family, and take care of what is given to you and grow as a spirit. Most will probably call this religon, but, I consider it a way of life these teachers have shown us. We no longer listen, if we ever did.
I miss this ideology.....I am tired of the corruption......
John Trudell you are forever in my heart. He is my hero.
