I got my school schedual today. I hope I have classes with someone...I don't want to be alone in all of my classes, like Middle School.

Well, I went to a Pet Store yesterday. I spent most of the time looking at the rodents, Rats in particular. I REALLY want a rat. Everyone I've talked to who have or had rats love them, and say they make excelent pets. That, and they're just plain cool. I've wanted a pet rat since I was 9 or 10, since a friend of mine's sister had one. But my mom says no. I'm HOPING that if I keep my room clean and get all A's in school, she MIGHT be willing to get me one for my birthday, but I don't think responsibility is the major issue here. The major issue is our cat. That's why we don't really have other pets, our cat HATES having other pets around, be it a cat, a dog, or a rodent. If the rat excaped, our cat might try and eat it and one of them could get hurt or killed. So, I can see why getting a small animal might not be so wise, but a Rat is capable of defending it's self, and are quite content being in cages for most of the time (Not saying I'll never let her (I think most pet stores sell females, don't they?) out. In fact, when I'm home, she'll probably be allowed out of the cage for hours at a time). That, and since I leave my door shut, odds of excape are slim. But I know my parents will probably still say no, but it doesn't hurt to try. My parents acctualy seem to like hamsters beter, but hampsters NEVER stay in their cages for long, and WILL excape. Plus, they're smaller. It's a death waiting to happen.

But whatever. Enough with the rats. We were really there for fish (Fish are really more like decoration than pets. They don't really offer companionship, they just look neat in an aquarium). We got four, a suckerfish, of course, and three speckled fish. My mom has to name the almost-all-black one, but I got to name the other two. One is apparently white with a whole buncha black spots, and the other's the reverse. Yeah, I bet you all know what I called them. Lemme give you a hint: Considering most of the stuff I draw is Avatar related, what fish do you think I would name them for? I'll give you another hint....It's Twi and La.
