Well, you needn't yell at her, I say. Just address your concerns politely, and telling her you'll pay her the same consideration would give you bonus points. Suggest that you sit down and talk about what would make you both more comfortable.
I've dealt with... socially awkward... housemates before. Some get it when you talk to them... and some never do get it. You just have to sit down and discuss it all though- as soon as possible because it's less awkward now.

I have no good advice. I was never any good with roommates. I just always kicked them out!
