Hey there guys!
First off, let me just say it's so odd to be going to a baby shower for somebody who is two years younger than I am xD; BUT, she's a friend and it's a shower none-the-less... SO... I'm stumped as to what to give as a gift O:
I'm thinking diapers.. but, what do you guys think?

Keep in mind, I don't know if it's gonna be a girl or a boy ;__;

a shower for the baby
Nevine1Solien Says:
Something cute and resourceful that would be helpful to either baby. Maybe a binkie that you could draw a design on to make it personal.

I've been to a ton of showers! So here's a list:
Every parent needs diapers, since there never seems to be enough. Kids outgrow clothes VERY quickly, but if you go that route chose yellows/greens/androgynous colors. Kids also spit up on them all the time so that usually just means more laundry for the parents, assuming they have time to do it. Baby Dreft (laundry detergent) also helps, since it prevents the clothing from ripping as easily. Baby clothing tends to be made of small fibers that aren't exactly strong. Dreft also prevents harsh chemicals in the water from redepositing on the baby's clothing.
A baby hammock, stroller, or even a blanket works well too. Something that helps stimulate the baby without being held works wonders (there's nothing worse than a child who won't do a thing on its own because its so dependent on its mother). Crib or portable mobiles work as well. The majority of the time, people often get the baby clothes to the point where it won't ever get a chance to wear them, so some type of baby furniture is very appreciated. Even something like a baby bathtub works too.
Even something simple like bottles will help the parents significantly. When my friend had her daughter, she was eating close to every 3 hours. That equals a LOT of bottles. Something convenient is a bottle warmer, or even a large quart pot to boil the bottles once the child is finished with them (this kills germs on the bottle/toy/whatever to prevent the baby from getting sick). However, some parents simply wash them normally like a dish, or have dishwashers.
If all else fails, a gift card works wonders!
