Classical Gas - Mason Williams

Pardon the title to this entry...it just happens to be what I'm listening to. :)

So I got another job, as I believe I've mentioned. I'm now a custom framer for a local Hobby Lobby. I LOVE it. Not only do I get out of the house (which I needed), but I get to learn to do something new that relates to my passion in life. The people I work with are (so far) very awesome. There are 7 people in the frame shop including myself. 4 of which (that I know of) are artists...*glee*. I'm catching on rather quickly, not surprising to me though, I've always known I'm a fairly quick learner when it comes to hands on activities. The shop manager though has been really impressed with how fast I've picked up. She's told the manager of the store that I don't really need any training periods, they've been rather busy back there and I've just been learning as I go. If I don't know the answer to something or don't know how to do something I ask. It's really rather simple...and I love every minute of it.

In other news, Scott and I are switching over from Comcast to Qwest this evening (we got the modem in today). We're really unhappy with Comcast's service out here. So we thought we'd try Qwest to see if DSL is any better. This does mean that it's possible I can play WoW again...which I'll be happy about because I miss my friends enough after the trip...doing SOMETHING with them will be nice. If I can't though, it's not the end of the world...but I'm hoping I can.

Other than that, I'm just bracing myself for the 2 year mark of my father's passing. August 26th...Classical Gas (Mason Willaims), Sultans of Swing (Dire Straits), and Roundabout (Yes) are going to be playing on Winamp a lot over the next month or two. They bring me happy memories of my dad...course that makes me cry but...it's good for me. :) I may have to get Tombstone and watch it too...and Young Frankenstein..yesh.

I did some heavy editing to my last piece submitted (-Untitled-) but didn't feel like resubmitting it..so I just changed it.
