Had a power cut earlier midway through a Sentence on MSN. It only lasted a few minutes but still my backup plan went straight into action.
My Mobile Phone became my light, and my iPod became my source of Entertainment.... I sat there in the partial darkness, with my iPod on watching a Video whilst waiting for the power to come back. Going to bed didn't even cross my mind! It was only midnight...
Still, its got me thinking, I really need to prepare some more stuff to do with Battery Powered entertainment devices...
Got me thinking, what else is there to do in the event of a power cut?
I mean they've happened for a lot longer before! This 5 minute backup plan made me think "I need more stuff on my iPod just in case"
So what would you do?

Laptop, DS, PSP, iPod, cell phone, portable dvd player, usb light.
Use all of them in power saving ways; Use the lowest possible luminousity, whilst using headphones for max sound with minimum volume and power consumption. Afrain from wasting cell phone battery by using it as light, as you won't need it if you know where you keep things.
When the lappy warns you that it's about to die out, put it in hibernation mode.
After the power of all the other things except the ipod has run out, put the usb light in the hibernating lappy and start reading comics/books whilst listening to the last of your iPod sounds

God. We had a powercut too recently, our whole area was out for about 11 hours. (It happened early in the morning so we had to suffer pretty much all day) I ended up using my laptop till it went flat, and then my DS. Thank god DSes last for ages otherwise I woulda died from boredom
