They might as well have titled the movie after Joker instead of Batman, every step of the way it was Joker who was captivating me and keeping me interested in the plot. Batman almost felt like a support character rather than the main protagonist.

Ledger's portrayal was phenomenal, its amazing how he managed to work in behavior traits and other small things that really made a difference. The most obvious and my favorite is that lip lick/lip smacking thing he would do in the middle of conversations.

I agree! Wow...now THAT is how The Joker should be. Funny and scary at the same time. At this rate, I wouldn't make any more Batman movies if I were Nolan, or at least no more with The Joker. After that performance, I don't think there's anybody else who could do the role justice.
