WhiteFoxDK: How I hate the term "Indian"

WhiteFoxDK: How I hate the term "Indian"

So someone posts a picture of a anthro fox with feathers and arrows abound and described it as a native Indian fox.

I got confused and said "huh? but it looks like a native american to me" without realizing what I wrote.

So people are laughing at me now. Morons.

It's not about being politically correct. It's about being culturally and geographically correct.

In my area there are tons of Indians (as in, from India) and Pakistanis, I HAVE to differentiate between the two!

So naturally when I hear the term Indian, because of where I live, I think oh, India!

There are no "native indians" here. They're "native Americans".

Damn terms.

DK=Hardcore Youko fanatic!

Thats why ya say East Idian for kids from the India, but blame a dead man, he thought he got to India.

Cheshire Delusion Says:

I've always said Native American as well. Native Indian is just, wtf. They wouldn't have feathers and arrows. They'd have like, robes and red dots on forehead... Or something, I dunno o.o

Lito Xiaoyu Says:

Lmao, oh silly people!

Gryphie Says:

Native Indian, to me, sounds like a native of the land of India. Native Americans are the original indiginous peoples of the Americas. ...silly people tch.

WoLfHyBRID Says:

*Shakes head sadly* I'm Inuit, and I hate when someone calls me Indian, I'm Inuit, or Native American, silly fools.

EquusDiligo Says:

Yeah, that makes my brain hurt when people call them "Indians", because I also think of India when I they're called that. I call them "Native Americans" when I'm not in America, but when I AM there, I simple call them "Natives" (to save syllables ).

Witch13888 Says:

as a NATIVE myself, i TOTALLY agree..
but if mis-educated/ignorant/or simply unknowing peole cant bear to use the right terms than they can always use NDN -hnn, maybe thats just for the KEWL pplz
