Little Wonders - Rob Thomas
So...my road trip was the most awesome thing ever. We started off in Portland Orgeon, moved out to the Oregon coast and played on the beach for a few days at a beach house with Steve's family. Then we drove through Oregon to the east. We stopped to view the Oregon Trail, which was really rather interesting. The ruts are still there in places. Then we stopped on the border for Oregon and Idaho to camp the first night out on the road...proceeded to get eaten alive by mosquitoes. Then we drove through Idaho down into Utah. We then stopped in Moab, Utah...possibly now one of my favorite places ever. If you don't like the desert it's not for you, but oh man do I ever love the desert. It was above 100 several times, and what did we do? Hike through and climb over EVERYTHING. My belly button got sunburned...odd place to get burned trust me. We spent the 4th of July [my birthday] in Moab, the fireworks were incredible, not just because they were gorgeous but because when the boom went off it echoed through the canyon walls and off all that sandstone...absolutely amazing. After 3 days in Moab we headed up into the rockies and into colorado. We stayed in a wonderful little motel in the middle of the mountains called The Hitchin Post...despite it's name we really enjoyed that place. Then we went down into Buena Vista, Colorado and went white water rafting through Browns, also incredibly fun. Because we were such a strong group our guide took us over all the harder stuff. She said she hand't had that kind of strength in a while. After that we went back up and stayed another night at the hitchin post, then proceeded up through Rocky Mountain National Park. The weather kinda turned ugly at that point. A thunderstorm rolled through the peaks...and it was about 45 degrees way up there. We saw a lot of elk though, and some spectacular views once the storm cleared up a bit. Then we drove down into Denver and near my home, went out to eat at Famous Dave's..and then one by one my friends all left to go back home. Needless to say I miss them all terribly.

Aaaaand I know that was one long continuous spill of text....[wall of text crits you for 98,452, you die.] but I'm still trying to grasp what an awesome time it was...pictures? We took almost 2,000 I'm still going through them and resizing and what nots. I'll post them somewhere for all to see when I'm done. I'll also elaborate on the specifics of the trip later as well.

I'm alive and fantastically well. I also have a job interview today in about an hour...go me!
