So yeah, I just saw The Incredible Hulk a little while ago, and it was AWESOME!! Oh my god, what a great year this is for comic book movies!! First Iron Man, then the Incredible Hulk, followed by Hellboy II, and finally Dark Knight? GAH!!! I haven't been this excited about a bunch of movies coming out since Lord of The Rings!!

And to get ready for the Dark Knight, I bought myself a copy of Batman Begins and watched it for the first time. And at the end of the movie, I did something I've never done before; I questioned my childhood choice of making Superman my favorite superhero. That's never happened before-I've fought to explain my reason for liking him for years now, only to have a single movie make me question it. *Sigh*

So I thought I would share that info with you guys. And I forgot to mention that I did get that job; I'm working in the deli and at the moment I still have all my fingers. *knocks on wood*

So my question for you is who is your favorite superhero and why?

yikes...

batman begins was WAAAAAY off on so many things

so go back and definitely read the comics.

Batman year one, knightfall, stuff like that

You most likely know this answer already but Spidey's my favorite.
There are numerous reasons behind this but the most prevalent is the fact that Peter Parker was (and kind of still is) a complete loser in real life. Stan Lee chose to give a completely average person an extraordinary life, and unlike the X-men who were also just ordinary people, Peter has to make it on his own without having any peers to guide him or answer his questions. I also believe that Stan did an amazing job portraying the cons of leading the superhero life in the Spiderman story.

I also do like Iron Man as well for similar reasons. I loved how Stan made Tony Stark succumb to his alcohol dependence and essentially ruin his entire life (even going so far as to have Stark become a bum living on the streets). Having such a thing happen just makes the stories so much real to me.

i hate the idea of superheros. They never f*ing die. i can't read a comic book and be suprised cuz they never die. So my "super heros" were people like Gandalf and Yoda from a early age.

diamond dragon Says:

spidey's my favorite, because he's a real, flawed person. Peter Parker could be anyone, you know? Also, he's not like Superman who just pulls new powers out of the air all the time.

I like Iron Man too, but honestly that's mostly because Tony Stark is HAWT. I like his back story a ton though. It's nice to have a superhero that's built from brains and not some freak accident. Wolverine is pretty sweet too. But yeah, my fav definitely has to be Spiderman.

Holy crap, I'm actually making a comment on a journal for once.
O:

And thanks for the comment on Maiko, btw :3

Anyway, my favorite superhero has always been and probably always will be Wolverine. Why?
1. He's a badass. Always was and always will be.
2. He's hot for such a shorty.
3. He has such a tortured past, and even though he finds out just about everything that happens to him eventually, early on it was kind of interesting to imagine what he went through to make him the way he is.
4. .....damn it, he's just hot in yellow spandex xD

If you've never looked into Deadpool comics, I would say he's right up your alley. He's more of an anti-hero than a superhero, and he's just plain hilarious.
He's going to be in the new Wolverine movie as well, along with Gambit and a few others.

shaolinwolf Says:

Lol, I'm not really a comic book fan but if I had to choose, it would have to be Wolverine!
(not really a DC or Marvel fan)
