- George Formby - "When I'm cleaning Windows"
It's that time again!
We leanred Arnold Schwarzenegger gave his "State of the State" address on Wensday. He addressed the issue of the 8 billion dollar budget crisis of California. "We stopped the bleeding, now we must heal the budget" as Arnold referenced. Hopefully he will stick with his promises of 2003. He's an excellent politician. But he hasn't been the greatest in the past year, but I have a feeling 2005 will be different.
We learned the record rain fall has just been pouring down for over a week in the Los Angeles area. This is bad, I'm going to the antiques swapmeet on Sunday, and it can't be raining. But it often seems that even the slighted rain can cause problems with traffic.
0.2 inches of rain! - STORMWATCH!
Cloudy skies! - STORMWATCH!
One drop! - GRIDLOCK!
We learned that phonograph repair shops are non-existant in southern California. A gear in the 1918 Columbia Grafonola broke back in November. After months of searching for a replacement part or a repair shop... I refastened the gear with super glue today...
Though it still needs a new main-spring.
This concludes-
What did we learn this week?
