It's the end of the world as we know it.

I am so mad I want to spit acid....either that or cry. You may have caught wind of it on DA, but I just found out about this Orphaned Work bill that's attempting to be passed, and I am furious. Basically, we are losing the rights to our artwork, and theft will become legalized. If you wish to protect your art, you will have to, from what I have read, PAY to have it registered. If you don't it is counted as an orphan and is fair game to the vultures and parasites of the artworld. Essentially, we artists are being screwed over by the government. Why? Money. Lots and lots of money is involved. I'm still working through the article, but I'm already shaking with anger. This is so horrible.

If you care about your wellbeing as an artist, PLEASE READ THE ARTICLE. Yes, it's long, but it so deeply concerns you I don't see how you can pass it by.

I am personally going to do all that I can to keep this from happening. I will be sending emails, writing letters, whatever it takes. I feel like I could cry.
