Well, everything is done. I just got back from the funeral. all thats left is living without him. I'm sad because he did really nice things to. I kinda made him look like a huge jerk on here. we were going through rough times though. Its just my mom and I now. my two brothers and sister-in-law will help to but the presure is going to be the most on my mom and i cause we are the only ones in the home now. The cabin, the shop, and our yearly vacations. its just gonna be us. sometimes with my bros to. I still can't believe it happened. he was 50 years old, my mom and dad were married 25 years. he was born at June 12, 1957. graduated in 1975. took over the trucking business from his dad in 1979. My mom and dad got married on July 9, 1982. He was part of the Hazelton Lions Club, the Hazelton Fire Department, part of the Who's Who of Busniess owners, member of ABATE, HOG (harley owners group), and a board member for voices for Oahe. He enjoyed fishing, skiing, golfing, traveling (sometimes with his motorcycles), camping, and spending time at our cabin at cat-tail bay. He died on March 31, 2008 in Prescott, Arizona while on his bike trip. What happened is he broke his ankle trying to move the motorcycle and it toppled on him. he then went to the emergency room and assigned to have surgery the next morning. my mom and friends laughed about stories and eventually it came time for them to leave. my mom thankfully said i love you before she left unlike myself. He died overnight from a heart attack. he had a heart attack before and survived from it. I'm so thankful it was not a suffering death. His family included, Mary Jo Mastel as his wife, Matt and Laura as his son and daughter-in-law, Mason as his son, and Michael as his youghest son. I'm proud to be named after my dad and I shall carry it on. My dad, Michael (Mike) Ray Mastel, had a wonderful life and I was part of it. I love him and always did and will.
