- What Do They Know? - Mindless Self Indulgence
I'm almost 18 now, and for 5 years of my life (thats since i was around 12) i've been drawing. mainly for myself ofcourse; But what annoys me about this is how people dont realise how their comments affect others. I've seen a lot of artwork, some good and some bad. I respect it all. My life is poured into my artwork as silly as that may seem, and nasty comments on anyone's pictures can hurt.
So please, i would prefer constructive critism over nasty, 'ZOMG SONIC FANARTZ DOWNRATE' comments.
Infact i'm sick of it. I see it everywhere. You guys need to think how your affecting others by your pointless comments. People join websites like Sheezyart or DeviantART so improve and meet others doing the same.
I would much rather have my own style than copy some of the more 'famous' artist's styles and trace pictures from google.
Thats just not me...
So i'm asking for more specific details on my artwork, such as tips on actually what i'm doing wrong/could improve. I do the same for others but rarely recieve it back.

Yeah, people like that are so pathetic. They shouldn't criticise so much. Its as you said, help give advice on how to improve. But clearly some idiots think they've got it all that they have no need to help others. But I see what you're saying. Sorry to hear about this, if there's anything I can do, let me know.

I found a simple tip, however repetitive. Each time you post a new piece, you need to write on the comment, "Constructive critique is highly encouraged!" It does work half the time.

I completely agree I sometimes don't even feel comfortable uploading theses days. I do want Constructive Crit, but half the time its only criticism and no constructiveness is included. :C
