First of all, just had to post a journal and let all my SheezyArt friends know I'm still around. It's not easy to drop by every so often, as I don't have a wireless connection at my place. Like I said before, SheezyArt is not a dial-up friendly site!
Anyway, since it's Valentine's Day, I thought I'd share a nice romantic story with you all. Enjoy...
Henry was an 80-year-old widower who lived at the Sun City Retirement Community in Arizona. His next-door neighbor was a 75-year-old widow named Abigail. They had known each other for quite some time. One evening, Henry invited Abigail over for dinner. After they ate, Henry said, "The reason I invited you over is because I was wondering if you would marry me." Abigail smiled and said, "Yes, I will marry you." Henry was happy, and they embraced. Some time later, Abigail went home. The next morning, Henry woke up. He could remember asking Abigail to marry him, but realized, to his horror, that he couldn't remember whether she said yes or no. So he went to Abigail's house and knocked on the door. When she answered, he said, "You'll have to forgive me, but at my age, my memory isn't what it used to be. I remember asking you to marry me last night, but I forget what you had said. Did you say yes or no?" Abigail said, "I said yes, Henry. And I'm so glad you came by this morning. I'd forgotten who had asked me!"
Happy Valentine's Day!
Doctor Dolittle Says:
NORTTTTTTT... I missed you.
PS: The name "Henry" is the best Old Man Name ever to exist. Except for maybe "Byron."
