There could be 3,000 inches of snow on the roads, with cards slippin' and slidin' as if the highway were one giant bumper car track, and Schoolcraft College would keep their sessions open.
Unless I decided to go and drive up there to find out the whole college is closed.
So FORGET IT. I ain't drivin' up on those roads, even IF my class is in session. Too many hills. Too many front yards to potentially slide into (granted, that was kind of fun in retrospect, but only cause nobody else was there).
Also it's almost ten and the roads are still covered in ick slush. I hope everybody who has to drive and work in this junk stays safe.
So today I will color TAE pages and art trades and...eat. I'm hungry.
Kay san Says:
Haha, my sentiments exactly. I just decided to stay home. I only have one class today anyway.
Eddsworld Says:
'Cold white stuff' instantly made me think of ice cream....
3, 000 inches?!? surely there would be no town left o__o
Asbeel Says:
*Goes into Kup mood* That remidns me of a time where, during the Ice Storm of '98, when I ended up driving an hour back to college, only to find that the school was closed -- they claimed they called the dorm students. So I ended driving further south to stay with friends. Bugger if I stayed another week with my family as we were already going to kill one another.

So you did a good call.
StarGazerAngel Says:
I feel bad for people with classes today. OU campus is open and most of the students are commuters. @.@ Bastard-asses.
Ha ha ha. I laugh, laugh heartily! ...EEP, IT SAYS I HAVE TO MOVE MY CAR. ._. Shiiiiit. Ah well. The plow won't come down my street. >.> I live on a dead-end.
But you gotta remember, even if the campus is closed, that doesn't mean the teachers feel like coming either. ^.^()
OMFG, MY CITY IS IN A SNOW EMERGENCY.
Satchan Says:
That happened sophomore year in high school...except the school was actually open, and we had to show up even though there was two feet of snow and ice underneath.
We almost got into a car accident.
Heliel Says:
RE: Westwood College.
Ugh.
Yammo Says:
What is this 'snow' concept you speak of?
EtherealMog Says:
You see, we were supposed to have snow in England, but it never came...well it did in the northern regions and caused quite a lot of traffic problems.

But heck, I would've liked to have seen some snow. It's pretty rare here. :/
And I can sympathise about your college. Last year it was snowing, there was no heat in the building except for one gas heater and (despite the fact you had to slide over ice to get to classes) our college still had classes on.
