As many people probably know, GazettE's full Guren PV was released early this week. And now I have the chance to review it.
The song was really good, very different from the band's usual style. It feels Kagrra,-y and don't get me wrong, I love kagrra, as much as the next person. Definitely better than all of Stacked Rubbish put together (which has grown on me), but nowhere near as good as previous singles.
Ruki: He's gorgeous in the PV, but I absolutely dislike his suit. The jacket is okay, but those pants are too much D: maybe if they had a simpler design that didn't remind me of 1800's wallpaper and the like. When trying to be serious for a song that sounds all srsbznz, he shouldn't start making love to the mic. And what are those red marks on his neck? Hickeys? Paint? Acne? :\
Uruha: WAY more effort could have been put into that guitar solo. It felt lazy, and a better solo would have made the song that much better. It's good to see a change in his outfit and hair. I wondered if the man would ever move away from his traditional purple-coloured outfits. His hair is awesome too.
Aoi: Something about his new Double-neck makes me feel as though he's trying to make up for some sort of loss. First he gets some not-so-great-as-the-rest-of-the-band's hair (But i do love the back of his hair) and then his recent make-up makes him look as though he's been totally sick and/or sleep-deprived, and he also gets his lip piercing taken out and replaces with a nose piercing. But somehow I still love that man so much
Reita: good bassline, good outfit, good hair. His massive spikes are better than they were in the Wriggling to Black tour.
Kai: Good drumming, but i find that kai looks kind of strange being so passionate while playing on a kit and not his full set. I think he should get a hair trimming too. It just doesn't work for me.. But his outfit is awesome.
The Girl: She is absolutely adorable. no lie. Her dress is probably one of the best things in the PV, and I have this strong urge to draw a picture of her. The way she paints the walls with her hands is adorable too. I seriously feel like cosplaying her or something. I love her.
Overall: I'm addicted to this song for now, haven't stopped listening to it since I first saw the PV D; But soon I'll probably stop obsessing, and get back to listening to the rest of my mp3.
