Maybe it's because of fillers like this that an ancient civilization on Mars was wiped out. I mean, normal journals provide an adequate amount of Oxygen and whatnot to Mars via deep underground time portal/dimensional rift, and by putting out these bullshit fillers, you're killing the Oxygen being sent to Mars, thus killing the race of advanced species that lived there.
