Ben Folds Five - Bitches Aint Shit

Okay! So I've decided to hold a spur-of-the-moment contest to help a worthy cause!

As some of you know, I'm affiliated in a few ways with the anime convention Tekkoshocon here in Pittsburgh.

For the last few years we've had one problem...

NOT ENOUGH ART ZOMGZ

So, this is where you come in!! Since I have so many fab artist watchers!

Draw the Tekkoshocon mascots! They're adorable! But! All entries must abide by this years theme in some way!

The theme for this year is Super Sentai so things like Power Rangers and super secret identity team-ups are the thing to do!

Feel free to take liberty with character designs, weapons, mecha, whathaveyou. GO nuts!

THE PRIZES!!

1. Many artworks will be chosen by the Tekkoshocon Staff (not me) to be featured in the Tekkoshocon Program booklet and on the convention badges. There's loads of room in the program book and there's several different badge designs, so much much more than just one will be chosen for something. If your art is chosen to be of use to Tekkoshocon, your name and website URL for your artwork will be printed in the program booklet. PAGEHITS ZOMG!!

2. One winner from the submissions given to me here on Sheezyart will be awarded one fully-rendered character (medium, waist-up shot) by me. That is if you want it

4. There MAY be an actual tangible prize(s) given away...if I can find one... No guarantees!!

To submit just PM me with your intent to submit. I will PM you back with my email address you can send me your high-res file to.

BOTH BLACK AND WHITE AND COLOR ART IS NEEDED! The program book is printed black and white inside. All other art will be printed in color. I'd suggest inking any black and white art you submit though

ALL ART MUST BE SUBMITTED AT LEAST 300DPI Art must be ready-for-print. It can be in RGB or CMYK format, but must be BIIIIIIG. Small images are useless.

YOU CANNOT USE COPYWRITED IMAGES OR CHARACTERS IN YOUR SUBMISSION(S)!

PLEASE GET ALL SUBMISSIONS TO ME BY MARCH 1st 2008

Oh, and I promise that we won't use your art in a way you wouldn't want us to

And if you want, I can TRY to get your whatever your art was printed on (if it is printed) to mail to you.

EDIT!!:

I was just told by the head of publications that you have a greater chance of being published in some form if you get your submission in by the 15th of February. But NOTHING will be turned away for consideration before March 1st!
