Okay...I dunno if I've told you guys, but I've been suffering from like..chronic insomnia. Since around the beginning of August. Not because I'd stay up all the time on the computer or whatever, because I'd usually go to bed. It's because my brain wouldn't shut off.
So yeah. I'd usually lie in bed for a good four hours, just thinking. Brain buzzing, legs twitching, fingers scratching at the air and my face, and me mumbling about how I can't sleep. I'd look at the clock, and it would read 10:00PM. I'd continue looking around for what felt like five or ten minutes, look back at the clock and be shocked to find it read 11:30PM. And the time would just slowly slip away from there. Precious rest time to prepare my mind for the next day. To re-wire my brain and lock in information and keep new stuff from getting in and pushing stuff out.
To make a long story short: I've got a curfew. I have to be off the computer by 8 PM, take a shower, and get in bed. LIFE SUCKS. LIKE A FRIGGIN VACUUME. Don't bother suggesting sleep methods or anything. Because frankly, I don't want to sleep anymore. So what if I doze off during one of my teachers mindless ramblings about the latin word for "milk" or whatever? I won't miss anything important. And I can function pretty well on 6 hours. It all depends on what part of the sleep cycle I was in when I was woken up. Preferabley REM. Because I read that it's much harder to wake up if you're in the deep sleep phase. (which is the one I was in when I woke up this morning.)
So if I'm not on, that's why. And if I sign off suddenly, without a goodbye, it's undoubtedly going to be because of my mum.

RLS?
Eh. I have the same thing from time to time. Except my bedroom is right above my parent's bedroom, so I can't pace.

Shadow Spyro Says:
I usually have trouble sleeping. I feel tired, so I go to bed. But when I get into bed, I can't sleep and I get all fidgety, because my brain just refuses to switch off! (Which it can easily do during the day -.- ).
So (probably) like you, I lie in bed, fidgeting and staring at the ceiling for god knows how long.
The only remedy I can suggest. Running into a wall as fast as you can in a bid to KO yourself. o.O
.... Actually... I might try that later... Sounds like fun... >.>
