It's probably a really bad time for this, but I'm having second thoughts on my choice of majors. I'm a fourth year student at Penn State, studying landscape architecture, with one more year to go. I've all but come to the conclusion that it's not my calling, and that designing landscapes can be cool and fun, but I don't think I want to do it for the rest of my life. There's a lot of money to be made, but anybody who knows me knows that I don't really care about money. I want to do what I enjoy. That's why, for the past six or eight months, I've been toying with the idea of running a hobby store or working directly for Games Workshop. I love the hobby, I love the game. I think I would be happier running my own game store, or even just working in one, rather than slaving away at a computer screen or drafting desk for eight hours a day.
