That's right! Just when they couldn't take a hint that educational games do not work, they throw in this one. I found about this in an article that also contained a screenshot.

'Mario History is a new educational game on the market that's not only fun but packed with information. For years educational games have failed in the video game industry but will this be any different? Gaming designer legend Shigeru Miyamoto thinks so.

"I believe that not only should gaming be fun but also informative. I remember that parents would complain to us that their children are too immersed in our games than their studies. It's become a massive concern lately."

While in Japan gaming has been a massive phenomena that would take kids from their schoolwork, in other countries the situation isn't the same but Miyamoto confident about this new game.

"Having a iconic character like Mario help the youth learn is a great idea. If they enjoy the character they would also enjoy learning from the character.
With this game children will learn important moments in history like Pearl Harbor and the creation of pasteurized milk."

While Miyamoto remains happy with the project so far, director Eiji Aonuma had a few words to say.

"This will hopefully draw in a young audience but we also made it so adults can enjoy this game too. The graphics and animation have been hand drawn in a simple way so it can gain attention from children easily. Such effects like 3D, with it's sparks and fire would disorient children at a young age.
The game play has been set as a simple multiple choice with added interaction to the characters of the game. It would be like having Mario learn along with you."

Aonuma has also directed educational Mario games in the past, however they did not do so well.

"We have learnt our mistakes from games like 'Mario's Early Years' and 'Mario Is Missing'. This game will not only be groundbreaking for the youth but also turn our new generation into geniuses."

The game so far looks solid. With simple design and easy game play it certainly is going to be the educational game that will break the boundaries.

"Hopefully we can move onto other topics like Math and Anime but for now we just want to see what the youth think of our new game"

I got this from a very important Nintendo website. They get all their news accurate and here's the exclusive screen shot.

Diabetus shows us how to conduct a job interview.

While in real life he has a job where he's trapped in a room with a scanner.

Also be on the look out for a Life Callings Fan art contest, celebrating it's 100 comic strips.

EDIT: The website is down. God damn you readers are fast the traffic overloaded the server again.

Have a good weekend!
