Jambo! Hello!
The Jamboree this year was held in the United Kingdom, in Highlands Park Chelmsford. I went along yesterday for a day visit to see it. Didn't know what to expect and what an experiance it is! Suddenly I realised I was only a drop in the ocean of scouting, every country in the world was represented there. I have been a scout since I was around 9 and to see this is amazing. It is all to celebrate 100 years of scouting since 1907 when scouting started. The Theme of it was one world one promise scouting promotes peace and unity. It was the largest jamboree ever! I was completely overwhelmed with what was there and who was there. Including the Chief Scout Peter Duncun! I shook his left hand and talked to him. I saw Austrian, German, Belgian, American, Canadian, New Zealand, Indian, German, Japanese, Indonesian,French, South Korean,Swiss Scouts and more!!
I put temporary tattoos on my hands and there was a massive show there too! big stage everything where they sang the official song Jambo! (Available on itunes) At which point when they said Jambo we all had to shout Hello! I also took loads of photos and I also made a wonmani made of string the 6th where the torso is the knots represent the 6 senses in the shape of a person

I never was with scouts but my brother did. He always had a lot of fun there. I think loads of kids had a still have. I hope they will keep up the traditions.
