Sorry about not being so active on here lately, been busy with work and such. But anyway thought i'd let you guys know what's happened lately.
Got a 19 inch LCD monitor, now using 2 monitors, makes it much easier while working on things

. Also got Vista, although i'm using it on a second hard drive as i'm not ready to take a big leap into Vista just yet. Everything seems to work ok so far however.
Been trying to find the time to work on my portfolio type site, I did get one thing done so far, I decided to make a flash image viewer for the site, just so that it's different than just displaying an image on the site, also it has a built in zoom feature so it's great for seeing close ups of my pixel art and such.
Here's the flash if you guys want to try it out:
http://gorounreal.com/goro/flash.html
Of course in the proper thing you can't enter the url of the image, this is just for testing. If you want to try another image you'll have to refresh the page unfortunately.
Also i've noticed some images don't load, so if you guys could list some that you have troubles with (if any) that'd be great, i'm assuming it's an issue with cross domain security of flash.
Other than that, it's just been work

but it's still going great, had no real troubles and for once it's a job that you don't go "argh work again =(" in the morning xP

Two monitors, awesome =D
I've also heard (from a number of people) that Vista isn't very good...something about deleting files without your consent...
I second the vista remark. It does take up a HUGE file size since this is the first version of it. Apparantly, all the new laptops come with vista, and it's making a lot of buyers irritated because it makes the computer lag and spaz when too many files are opened at once.
Good luck with work and have fun with those two monitors!

I hate vista, the first ten minutes of me using it consisted of nothing but crashing and restarting

Nice one with the Dual Monitor rig, bring on the productivity! As for Vista, yeah, CS student here, I got it free from the university and it annoyed the hell out of me, the only thing I liked about it was the stylish look, apart from that, limited (at best) support for my graphics cards (no SLI support for one thing!) and the fact that it always asked me if I wanted to run such and such a program every time pissed me off, never mind the fact that turning off that feature means that any malicious programs can run without your knowledge. I'm happy with XP on one and Mac OS X on the other. (Linux refused to install)
Byte Says:
Just imagining the space of two widescreen computers, its like IMAX for your PC.
I doubt I'll be taking the leap to Vista (atleast for the time being). The only thing that I could possibly want from it is DX10, and theres a chance they'll make that for XP anyway. All these other features and doodads I dont need, they'll just eat up my system resources.
Lobokage Says:
Stick with XP, at least until the service pack for Vista comes out. Then depending on what SP1 does, Vista will suck more or less.
Claire Redfield Says:
The flash thing is WAY easier :)
