But, besides all this, we got the apartment we've been hoping for! We just have to wait another week before we can start moving or anything. I'm rather excited about getting out on my (our) own again.
However...
The excitement is a bit dulled with the fact that I found out that Jonathan (the guy I had arrested almost a year ago) is out, walking free, already. He was supposed to be behind bars for three years...
I'm tired of living like a prisoner in my own life because of all this. I just want to be able to move on and live normally again. However, the emotional and mental stress this has caused already is driving me to not want to take the apartment... But I can't live in my dad's shadow, hiding behind his leg like a small child. I feel safe around him, yes, but I'm also 26 years old and can't keep living like a frightened little kid...
