- Ripple Feild -- Kirby's Dream Land 3
I went to Gamestop at 8 this morning to get in line and claim what was rightfully mine. There was like no line, but the idiot manager was so badly organized it too kabout 10 mins for me to get Diamond.
First, I got Diamond and my brother got Pearl. They're really good so far, I'm up to the first gym already. The first 10 minutes were slow as hell, though. It's like Gamefreak thinks we don't know how to play a fucking Pokemon game and needs to explain to us what the hell to do every 5 seconds. After that nonsense though, the game starts getting really good. The game layout is far less predictable then that of previous games, and I think it's a real step up from The controls took a little time to get used to, though. X is now mapped to the menu and Y is now mapped to where the key item is. I also bought the strategy guide to it, and I think it's just plain funny that they reused some artwork from Gold and Silver, it's funny because it looks so out of place. It's hard to describe how it feels but a good way to sum it up would be that it's like playing the Genesis Phantasy Star games on DS with Pokemon characters.
I also managed to get used Wario Land 3, Metroid Fusion and Link's Awakening DX while I was at Gamestop for just 12. Not a bad deal if I do say so myself. Actually, when my DS battery died, I kinda beat Metroid Fusion in just 3 hours, and holy shit was that the easiest Metroid game I ever played. I'll touch the other two games later, like in summer I guess.
have it. playing.
